EUNICE Consortium participated in the 5th Transport Research Arena (TRA 2014) conference which was hold in Paris from the 14th to the 17th April 2014. TRA is the major conference on transport in Europe, supported by the European Commission, the Conference of European Road Directors (CEDR) and the three European technology platforms: the European Road Transport Research Advisory Council (ERTRAC), the European Rail Research Advisory Council (ERRAC) and the WATERBORNE TP. The 5th edition of TRA presents an update of the most advanced research works being carried out in Europe and across the world to better advise policy makers, guide and influence education and foster industrial innovation.

The conference topics cover the mobility of people and goods with respect to energy, environment, safety, security and economic issues as well as all surface transport modes, including cross modal issues. The focus on "Transport Solutions: from Research to Deployment" and the slogan "Innovate Mobility, Mobilise Innovation" aim to bridge the gap between research and implementation in the market.

In the TRA 2014, the EUNICE Consortium exposed a poster based on the submitted paper titled “Eco-design and validation of in-wheel concept for electric vehicles” paper. TRA 2014 proceedings contain almost 600 scientific and technical papers and 160 posters.

The poster was presented by TECNALIA during the Science Technical Session of Electrification and hybridization (STS 10) hold on Monday afternoon.

This poster shows the in-wheel concept proposed, the main targets and technical research lines as well as the advantages of the technology. A brochure of the project was also shared among the visitors.
